Everything we do, in plain English.
Residential electrical, mostly. Some light commercial where it fits. If your job is bigger than one truck and one electrician, we'll point you to someone better suited.

Panel and service work
New panels, sub-panels, breaker swaps, service upgrades. Code-compliant, inspected, done right. The most common request is the 100A to 200A service upgrade for older Sherwood Park homes adding a garage heater, hot tub, or EV charger.
Common jobs: 100A to 200A upgrades, panel relocates, sub-panel installs for shops and garages, breaker swaps, GFCI/AFCI breakers where the code requires them.
-
Outlets and switches
Adding a receptacle, swapping a dimmer, replacing a switch that's gotten loose. We install GFCI/AFCI breakers where the current code requires them, and we'll tell you which ones are required vs optional.
Common jobs: Bathroom GFCI, kitchen counter outlets, garage exterior outlet, smart switch installs, USB-C wall outlets.
-
Smoke detectors and alarms
Replace, hardwire, decommission. If your smoke detector won't stop chirping at 2 AM, we know what's happening (usually the backup battery, sometimes the unit itself with a 10-year service life). We'll diagnose, replace, and reset. We also decommission old hardwired home security alarms that no longer work and just take up wall space.
Common jobs: Hardwired smoke detector replacements, old security panel decommission, CO detector swaps, alarm reset and rewire.
-
Troubleshooting
Breakers tripping for no obvious reason? Lights flickering in only one room? Outlets dead but the breaker looks fine? We diagnose before we quote. You'll know what's actually wrong, what it'll cost, and what your options are.
Common jobs: Loose neutral, shared circuit overload, failed GFCI tripping upstream of itself, aluminum-wiring connection points, water damage in a junction box.
-
Lighting
Pot lights, fixtures, under-cabinet LEDs, exterior security lighting, dimmable LED retrofits. Practical first: if a fixture is wrong for the room, we'll say so.
Common jobs: Pot lights in the basement, kitchen pendant install, exterior motion lights, replace a chandelier on a 14-foot ceiling.
-
Renovation rough-in
Bathroom or kitchen reno? We rough in your circuits while the walls are open, coordinate with your general contractor and city inspector, and stay out of the way of the other trades. We're back for final connections after the drywall is up.
Common jobs: Bathroom reno rough-in (vanity GFCI, fan, in-floor heat, lighting), kitchen reno rough-in (counter outlets, range, dishwasher, fridge dedicated circuit), basement development.
-
Light commercial
Small office, retail tenant improvement, light fixtures for a small shop. If your job is bigger than that (an industrial site, a 3-phase service upgrade), we'll refer you to someone better suited. Honest is better than stretched.
Common jobs: Small office buildouts, retail tenant improvements, restaurant lighting refreshes.
